About Save Point Pixel

A small, independent site about pixel-art games and the time they ask of you.

Why save points?

Most of us play in the gaps of busy lives. Whether a game lets you stop after twenty minutes, or punishes you for leaving, matters as much as its graphics. So every review here starts with how the game saves.

What we cover

Indie games made in pixel art, from short stories to long RPGs. We leave out games built around randomised paid rewards, casino-style mini-games or pay-to-win systems.

How we review

We finish every main game, time the gaps between good stopping points, and fail on purpose to see what is lost. Scores compare each game with the others here.

Independence

We buy our own games and take no payment, keys or gifts for coverage. There are no adverts on this site.
