How it saves
Run-basedEach run lasts until you die. Quitting saves and resumes the current run; unlocks are kept forever.
If you fail
The current run. Permanent upgrades stay.
Forgiveness
Good place to stop
About every 40 minutes

0-1What you do

You play a blob of cells inhabiting a body in a cursed island fortress. Each run you fight through changing levels, pick up weapons and skills, and try to get further. Dying sends you back to the start, stronger in small ways.

0-2Who it is for

Players who enjoy getting better through practice and love quick, satisfying action.

1-1The run is the session

A run takes thirty to sixty minutes. You can quit and resume later, but each death means starting a new run.

2-1Permanent progress

Blueprints and cells unlock new weapons and upgrades between runs, so every run counts for something.

3-1Make it kinder

Custom mode and assist options can make runs more forgiving if you want to enjoy the action without the pressure.

Power-ups

  • Superb combat feel
  • Huge variety of weapons
  • Years of free and paid content

Debuffs

  • Losing a good run hurts
  • Hard later bosses

Hint

Pick one weapon type and stick with it for a few runs. You will learn faster.
