Making pixel art look its best on a modern screen
Simple settings that make pixel games look sharp on big TVs and laptops.

1Use full screen
Pixel art usually scales best in full-screen mode at your screen's native resolution.
2Integer scaling
If a game offers "pixel perfect" or integer scaling, turn it on. It keeps every pixel the same size.
3Filters
Some games offer smoothing or CRT-style filters. Try them, but sharp pixels usually look best on modern screens.
4Turn off motion smoothing
On TVs, switch to game mode and turn off motion smoothing to avoid blur and input lag.
5Look after yourself
Bright screens late at night affect sleep. Lower the brightness in the evening and take breaks.
