Playing in short sessions without losing the thread
Twenty minutes before bed? Here is how to keep a long game moving.

1Stop at a save, not a cliff-edge
End sessions just after saving and before the next big area. Starting fresh is easier than resuming mid-dungeon.
2Write one line
Note what you were about to do. Returning after a week takes seconds instead of ten minutes of wandering.
3Use quest logs
Most RPGs keep a journal of active goals. Read it before you play.
4Choose the right game
Papers, Please days take ten minutes. Katana ZERO rooms take seconds. Long RPGs work too if they save often.
5Rest your eyes
Short, regular sessions are kinder to your eyes and sleep than long weekend marathons.
